Nike continues its salute to 10 years of Nike Free with the release of the ‘Genealogy of Free Black’ Pack. The pack highlights three shoes which feature Nike Free technology as well as three additional styles which influenced the creation of the Nike Free platform, each in a new Black edition.
Celebrating the new release, CHAMP Magazine and Tokyo Running Crew AFE TOKYO came together to produce an editorial, uniting global running crews and cities, capturing runners in their own daily motion. Our London run set off at the Champ Studio’s, enjoying a cruisy run along Regents Canal to Kings Cross and back.
We guided the crew to the beautiful sculpture (a fluorescent IFO Identified Flying Object) by architect Jacques Rival at Kings Cross, before pushing through the streets to complete the 10km run.
The sneakers will be available at Nike.com/nikelab and NikeLab DSM GNZ. Running crews from the Bridge the Gap movement entered the global, ‘BLACK NIGHT RUN’ on Wednesday July 30th. We invited runners to wear their darkest colours with reflectors. Look on instagram #BLACKNIGHTRUN to see how the global cities illuminate.
